A Yucca Valley man suspected of stealing a car last week was arrested late Sunday night. According to a Sheriff’s report, about noon Thursday, Daniel Greene, 34, was at a home in the 6400 block of Tonto Drive in Joshua Tree when he got into an argument with his ex-girlfriend. The report states he told her he was going to take her car, and she said if he did, she would report it as stolen. According to the Sheriff’s Department, the keys were in the car and Greene got in the Ford, and backed up into a fence before driving off. The vehicle was later found in the 7200 block of Elwood in Joshua Tree. Greene was located in the 58600 block of Barron Drive in Yucca Valley about 10 p.m. Sunday. Daniel Greene was arrested for violating the terms of his post-release community supervision and is being held without bail in the West Valley Detention Center.
