At tomorrow’s 10 a.m. meeting of the County Board of Supervisors in San Bernardino the board is expected to accept a $200,000 federal grant that will be paired with a matching state grant and together, the funds will pave the way to develop what’s being called the Desert View Conservation Area. Known locally as Section 6, the 605-acre site is located in an undeveloped expanse to east of Park Boulevard in Joshua Tree. Once complete, the project will feature two interactive trail loops totaling just over three miles, restrooms, parking areas, and informational kiosks. Tomorrow’s meeting, and every board of supervisor’s meeting, will be broadcast live online and to the first floor teleconferencing room in the County Government Center on Whitefeather Road where public comment can be made via live video link.
