The San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors adopted a resolution at Tuesday’s remote meeting, concerning the creation of the Johnson Valley National Off-Highway Vehicle Recreation Area. This is in support of H.R. 1676, which was introduced by Congressman Paul Cook, to add an off-highway vehicle recreation area designation in Johnson Valley to the 2013 Federal Legislative Platform. Dawn Rowe, Field Representative to Congressman Paul Cook, discusses the importance of the resolution. “Congressman Cook would like to thank you for taking the opportunity to consider this bill in support of it. It means a tremendous amount to the cities within the county as well as our residents here. Not only in the Johnson Valley area, but all those enthusiasts that enjoy the recreational aspects that Johnson Valley has to provide. And all public support and input for this bill is very integral to this process. So I would encourage everyone to speak out.” The resolution was passed 5-0.
