SUPERVISOR RAMOS LOCAL APPEARANCES

County Supervisor James Ramos will be at two functions in the Morongo Basin this Sunday and Monday. He will be at the Morongo Basin Democratic Club at 2 p.m. this Sunday, talking about issues affecting the Morongo Basin. At the meeting, the clubs Nominations Committee will recommend a slate of officers for May’s election and take nominations from the floor. The meeting will be held at the Aztec Mobile Home Park Clubhouse off Church Street. This Sunday is the last time the Democratic Club will meet at Aztec Mobile Home Park, as the club has outgrown the space. More information, links and resources are online at MBDems.com.

Ramos also plans to attend the meeting of the Homestead Valley Community Council at the Johnson Valley Community Center Monday at 3:00. He will be discussing new ideas for unincorporated areas of the Third District, which organizers say will be of interest to everyone in the Morongo Basin, the Homestead Valley and Lucerne Valley. Another guest will explain the Transportation Reimbursement Escort Program. If you are an eligible senior or disabled, and find a volunteer driver for necessary, escorted transportation for eligible trips like medical appointments and banking, you may then receive funds from TREP to reimburse the volunteer driver’s costs.
