The Morongo Unified School District Board of Trustees meet in regular session tonight. Reporter David Haldane says sunshine and lockers will dominate the meeting…
The Morongo Unified School District Board of Education will begin its meeting at 5 p.m. tonight with a closed session to discuss employee contract negotiations. Then, at 7, the board will reconvene in public to consider adopting a framework forming the basis of those negotiations for the coming school year. That framework—called a Sunshine Agreement—will address such issues as compensation and benefits, holiday and sick pay, performance evaluations and discipline.
In other business, the board will consider authorizing the installation of lockers at La Contenta Middle School and the replacement of those at Twentynine Palms Junior High School.
The meeting will take place at Twentynine Palms High School on Wildcat Way.
