Based on the beloved Frances Hodgson Burnett novel, “The Secret Garden” is set in 1905 India. It tells the story of young Mary Lennox who— after the sudden death of her parent—is sent to live with an unknown uncle at the bleak Misselthwaite Manor in England. She finds solace in a hidden garden, and with it, a path to rebirth, proving that hope can bloom from the darkest of places. “The Secret Garden” plays Friday and Saturday nights at 7 p.m. through September 24 with a 2:30 Sunday matinee September 18. Tickets are $8 to $15 and are available now at theatre29.org, by calling the Box Office at 760-361-4151.
