The summer youth program at Theater 29 is in rehearsals now for two productions of “Peter Pan Jr.” Both age groups are being directed by local school teachers, the juniors by Katie Van Sumeren. The junior cast includes: Owen O’Brien as Peter Pan, Graziella Grothe as Tinker Bell, and Patricia Zuniga as Wendy. As Mr. Darling and Captain Hook is Kenshin Lao. John will be played by Jacob Giannini-Nichols and Michael by Tyler Luke.
The roles of Mrs. Darling and Tiger Lily portrayed by Jaylene Harmon, the parts of Nana and Smee by Tomi Toyama. Supporting cast members include: P.J Pushkar, Ava Roberts, Zoee Stoker, Cloe Hopkins, Ethan Johnson, Isabella Webb, Hannah Grabow, Katlynn Luke, Kendra Baker, Linessa Ann Wheeler, Lown Thomas-Baird, Susie Squyres and Katie O’Brien. On lights is Rory O’Brien, spotlight Kelsie Ramirez and on sound is Grace Newman. In part two of this story, we’ll announce the cast of the senior production of “Peter Pan Jr.”
“Peter Pan Jr.” will be performed Friday, July 31 by the junior cast at 6 p.m. Seniors at 8 p.m. Saturday, August 1, the juniors take the stage at 2 p.m. followed by the seniors at 4 p.m. Tickets are $7 each available on-line at theatre29.org starting July 15.
