SUMMER YOUTH THEATER PLANNED AT THEATRE 29

Theatre 29, will hold auditions for the Theatre 29 Summer Youth Theater production, “The Perils of Goldilocks,” made up from 2 one act plays. The first show, “Goldilocks,” by Matt Casarino, is a comic spin on the classic fairy tale. This fresh adaptation teaches young audiences the meaning of responsibility through its clever, upbeat dialogue and audience participation. The second show, the second act of the production, is “Goldilocks on Trial,” by Ed Monk. Director John Wright, and assistant director Lizzie Schmelling are looking for 20 performers with most being dual or multiple roles with an age range from 8 through adults. Auditions for “The Perils of Goldilocks” will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, May 6, at the Theatre 29 main stage, 73637 Sullivan Road, (Adobe and Sullivan) Roads, Twentynine Palms. Those wishing to assist backstage with set construction, lighting, props, costumes or as stage hands should also come to the auditions. “The Perils of Goldilocks” will run from June 28 to July 27, Friday and Saturday evenings at 7 p.m. Matinee performances will be at 2:30 p.m. July 7 and July 21.
