SUMMER FUN IN YUCCA VALLEY NEIGHBORHOODS

Starting today, and continuing through August 8, a mobile fun truck from the Town of Yucca Valley Recreation Department will visit each of Yucca Valley’s parks. The truck is packed with a team of recreation staff members, along with a stash of balls, jump ropes, and sporting equipment. Activities will include arts and crafts, face painting, sports, drama, games, music, and contests, and other fun stuff. Activities are geared toward children 5 and over; those under 5 may attend if accompanied by an adult. The Super Summer Squad will visit the parks from 9 to 11:30 a.m. Mondays: Yucca Valley Community Center, Highway 62 at Dumosa Avenue; Tuesdays: Paradise Park, Barron Drive at Indio Avenue; Wednesdays: Essig Park, Warren Vista at Joshua Lane; Thursdays, Jacobs Park: Onaga Trail at Hopi Trail. The fun truck activities are offered free of charge, thanks to the generous donation by the Yucca Valley Senior Club. There is a nominal fee for craft activities. For more information, call Yucca Valley Community Services at 760- 369-7211.
