The 14U team from the Morongo Volleyball Club traveled to the American Sports Center in Anaheim on Saturday March 30. They finished to day with 2 wins and 1 loss. They lost against the number 2 seed New Wave Gold. They then faced the number 1 seeded Lady Spartans and beat them two sets to one. In the final match they faced team B3 and lost the first set, but then won the next two for the win.
Coach Steve Abney said, “So VERY proud of the outstanding teamwork and play today! Winning two of three matches against very tough opponents and coming back time and time again to score was just a joy to watch and coach. You guys (well, OK, girls!) are getting so much better with every set. Way to go team!!!!!” The 14U’s next tournament will be Saturday, April 27 at a site to be determined.
