Due to COVID-19, the Institute of Inquiry faced a 52 percent decline in registration and now must get even more creative. So, they’ve guided students in creating their own silent films and the results will be featured at the Silent Film Festival on Thursday, June 10, at 8:30 p.m.
The event is a fundraiser for the Institute of Inquiry and they are asking for a $30 donation per car. Celebrating genres such as comedy, suspense, and fantasy; the festival will feature silent films written, directed, edited, produced, and starring Institute of Inquiry students.
The event will take place at the Celluloid Stardust Theatre in Joshua Tree. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. Attendees should enter at 2780 Sunfair Road, on the right, immediately before you reach the Joshua Tree Lake RV and Campground and Joshua Tree Music Festival grounds entrance. Look for the “CASA GOGO” sign.
