The Joshua Tree Foundation for Arts and Ecology is presenting a performance of string quartets and trios by an ensemble at the Lou Harrison House in honor of Armenian Genocide Remembrance.
The Sunday (April 16) event will feature the VEM ensemble from UCLA, who will perform music composed by Lou Harison, Alan Hovhaness, and Armenian composers including Komitas, Mansurian and Miroyan. This entire ensemble is newly returned from a successful tour of Armenia.
The music begins Sunday at 5 pm. at the Lou Harrison House, 6881 Mount Lassen AVe in Joshua Tree, and tickets will be sold on a sliding scale from $20 to $50.
