You can have some input in the future plans for the city of Twentynine Palms. Reporter David Haldane has a look this week’s three strategic planning meetings…
People aren’t the only ones who begin the year with resolutions. Cities do too and to that end, the Twentynine Palms City Council is will hold a series of strategic planning meetings this week for the purpose of, well, strategic planning.
The first two meetings – scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday nights – will cover a variety of topics including community safety as maintained by police, fire and animal control; community facilities and infrastructure; and economic development including Project Phoenix and the Joshua Tree National Park. During the third meeting on Thursday night, officials say, they will prioritize goals in each of those areas to come up with a viable map for the future.
All three meetings begin 5 p.m. in the Council chambers on Adobe Road.
