A person can bleed to death in minutes, and those living in remote areas know that emergency medical care may not arrive quickly. Knowing just a
few basics can save a life. “Stop the Bleed,” a training session for local citizens, will be held on Saturday, October 6, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Wonder Valley Community Center on Amboy Road. Part of a national program, the workshop will teach aspects of direct pressure, wound packing and tourniquet application. These basics skills can also be applied to pets and livestock.
