STOLEN VEHICLE SET ON FIRE IN YUCCA VALLEY

A stolen vehicle was found burned in the desert in Yucca Valley Tuesday evening. According to County Fire Captain Jay Dimoff, at 8:12 p.m., firefighters were called to a vegetation fire in the desert south of Golden Bee and Acoma. In the middle of the 100-foot-by-200-foot fire was a burned out vehicle, believed to be a Saturn, that had been reported stolen earlier in the day. The Sheriff’s Department is investigating.
