STOLEN SCOOTER LEADS TO TWO ARRESTS IN YUCCA VALLEY

Two Yucca Valley men were arrested Saturday after they were found with a stolen scooter. According to the Sheriff’s Department, deputies were called to the 55700 block of Pueblo Trail in Yucca Valley about 7 p.m. Saturday. When deputies arrived, they found Michael Hayner, 43, along with a stolen Vespa scooter. Deputies say that David Maynard, 52, helped Hayner move the scooter to his house even though Maynard knew it was stolen. Michael Hayner and David Maynard were arrested for investigation of possession of a stolen vehicle and booked into the Morongo Basin Jail. Michael Hayner was released on a $100,000 bail bond, and David Maynard was released.
