Yucca Valley police have determined that a man who rode an off-road motorcycle into signposts near the intersection of Sage Avenue and Sunnyslope Drive early Wednesday morning, was riding a stolen motorcycle. Kyle Brown, 26, was riding the off-road bike westbound on Sunnyslope Drive about 4 a.m. when he rode straight into sign posts instead of making the turn onto Sage Avenue. Brown was not wearing a helmet and suffered major head injuries; he was taken to Desert Hospital in Palm Springs. Deputies are conducting an investigation into the stolen off-road bike and will forward a report to the District Attorney’s office for possible charges. According to the Sheriff’s Department, Kyle Brown has a prior history of grand theft auto and parole violations.
