During a special meeting Tomorrow morning, September 22, the California Fish and Game commission will make their final decision on whether the Western Joshua Tree will receive “threatened” or “endangered” species status through the California Endangered Species Act. If the status is approved, the commission will then discuss which development projects, if any, will receive exemptions from the law’s protection. The virtual meeting will begin at 8:30 a.m. Instructions on how to attend the meeting are available in the pdf document.
