California Senator Shannon Grove, who represents the Morongo Basin, was replaced last week as the leader of the California Senate Republicans. Grove, who had been the Republican leader for two years, was ousted Wednesday after two new Republican senators were elected in November. She was replaced by Senator Scott Wilk of Santa Clarita. After the riot at the U.S. Capitol earlier this month, Grove falsely tweeted—and then removed her tweet—that the rioters were actually members of antifa and not Trump supporters. Her spokeswoman later clarified her tweet and said Grove meant that the mob acted like antifa and not Trump supporters.
