The Colorado River Basin Regional Water Quality Control Board is expected to formally approve a resolution amending the deadlines for the town of Yucca Valley’s septic tank discharge prohibition at its meeting March 10 in Yucca Valley. The amendment will extend the deadline for the prohibition for Phase 1 from May 19, 2016, to June 30, 2021; the deadlines for Phases 2 and 3 to December 31, 2025; revise the boundaries for Phases 1, 2, and 3; and incorporates into the septic discharge prohibition criteria for addressing deferred properties. The meeting will be held 10 a.m. March 10 in the Yucca Room of the Yucca Valley Community Center.
