Prior to the start of tonight’s Yucca Valley Town Council meeting, Mayor Robert Lombardo will host an open house prior to giving a State of the Town address. After the State of the Town address, the council will be asked to approve the consent agenda, which includes change orders for the library renovation project. Next, the council will select a new mayor. The council will then reopen the public hearing on selling the old gas station at 55460 29 Palms Highway in Old Town. The council will also be asked to approve a memorandum of understanding between the school district and the town concerning the school resource officer. And finally, the council will hear a report about the town’s fiscal health. All this starts at 6 p.m. in the Yucca Room of the Yucca Valley Community Center.
