State Fish & Game Commission take no action on Western Joshua Tree at latest meeting

The California State Fish and Game Commission met in Fresno over the last two days (April 19 and April 20), and though protections for the Western Joshua Tree were briefly discussed, no action was taken on the matter.

Only scheduled for a brief administrative discussion by the Commission, they acknowledged that at the moment, two separate pieces of legislation, both titled “Western Joshua Tree Conservation Act” are being considered by State Legislators.

They acknowledged that the two pieces of legislation are quite different, and that there is more work to be done with both of them moving forward.
