The following issues are under consideration for basin plan review and update:
- beneficial use designation of surface waters and aquifers;
- salt and nutrient management plan development;
- policy to address threats to groundwater from septic system wastewater discharges, specifically including Joshua Tree and Twentynine Palms;
- evaluate potential water quality impacts from solar projects;
- a strategy for dealing with chemicals that currently lack water quality objectives.
Public meetings will be held later in 2015.
