Join other star gazers at a star party at Sky’s the Limit Observatory and Nature Center Saturday, September 8, in Twentynine Palms. With your invitation, here’s managing editor Tami Roleff…
When you are looking at the globular cluster M22 in the Sagittarius constellation, you’re looking toward the center of our galaxy and the brightest part of the Milky Way. M22 is “only” 10,100 light years away—one of the closest—and contains about 100,00 stars. See this globular cluster, as well as other constellations and more, during a star party at Sky’s the Limit Observatory and Nature Center on Saturday. It runs for about two hours, starting at 8 p.m. The observatory is located on Utah Trail, just north of the entrance to Joshua Tree National Park, in Twentynine Palms.
