And while you’re waiting for the peak hours of the meteor shower, head out to Sky’s the Limit Observatory for their star party tonight, October 21. The event begins at 6:45 p.m. and will end about 10:30 p.m., but you are encouraged to come when you can and leave when you want. Take a tour of the cosmos, including the Ring Nebula, Andromeda Galaxy, the ghostly Veil, Helix Nebulae, and the Owl cluster. The planets Saturn and Neptune will also be visible. Note that there is no camping at the observatory. Sky’s the Limit Observatory is located on Utah Trail, just north of the Twentynine Palms entrance to Joshua Tree National Park.
