The St. Joseph’s Players community theater troupe is hosting a winter warm-up fundraiser dinner. The cast and crew of their upcoming production “A Few Good Men” will be serving up some comfort food. Reporter Rebecca Havely shares what’s on the menu…
The St. Joseph’s Players fundraiser dinner will feature shepherd’s pie and buttered rolls for dinner on Saturday, January 28. Hot spiced cider and coffee will served with the dessert of peach cobbler ala-mode. Dinner will be served from 5:30 to 7 p.m. with a raffle prize drawing announced at 7. Raffle winners need not be present to win. Dinner tickets are $8 each or $14 for couples. Raffle tickets are $1 each or $5 for six. Come warm up with comfort foods and leave with a full tummy and maybe some great prizes. St. Joseph’s Church is located at 56312 Church Street in Yucca Valley. Tickets may be purchased from the cast and crew members or at the door. Cash only please. Proceeds will go towards costumes and props for the court room drama “A Few Good Men,” running weekends in March.
