ST. JOSEPH’S PLAYERS HONOR VOLUNTEERS, CHANGE NAME

The St. Joseph’s Players community theater troupe held its annual volunteer appreciation party last weekend and honored some with special recognition. With more, here’s reporter Rebecca Havely…
At the St. Joseph’s Players 5th annual volunteer appreciation party last Saturday, all their volunteers were awarded certificates of participation for their work last season. A few were awarded trophies for their efforts that went above and beyond the call of duty. The Most Valuable Player for “Kitchen Witches” was awarded to crew hand Chalise Kunz for her great work back stage. The trophy for “A Few Good Men” went to Janet Peercy who played Jackie Ross in the show and assisted with moving the production to the Twentynine Palms Military Base. The MVP of the year went to Abe Daniels who directed, “Kitchen Witches” and starred in “A Few Good Men.” Founder Rebecca Havely announced that the troupe is seeking a new venue in the Hi-Desert and will now be named, “Curtain Call Players.”
