The St. Joseph’s Players of Yucca Valley are holding open auditions for the Neil Simon comedy, “Biloxi Blues” Tuesday night, March 24. The show opens May 8 with weekend performances through May 31. Director Rebecca Havely has the details…
Auditions for the St. Joseph’s Players next production, “Biloxi Blues” are this coming Tuesday night, March 24, at 6:30 p.m. Rehearsals begin the next evening and are mostly week night evenings, some weekend afternoons. The roles of Eugene Morris Jerome and Arnold B. Epstein have been pre-cast. All other roles are open and include, several substantial, supporting male roles for young men ages 16 to late 20s. The stern, yet flawed Sergeant Toomey is in his mid 30s to late 50s. The Southern lady of the evening, Rowena should be in her late 20s to late 30s. Eugene’s young love interest, Daisy, should be 16 to 18. There are also a few non-speaking roles for young men to play soldiers and young ladies at a USO dance. This is a 1945 period piece help with costumes, props, hair, makeup and a stage crew are needed for all the behind the scenes magic. All interested in volunteering in any way please attend auditions.
