The cast of “The Nerd” includes architect Willum Cubbert, played by Ben Bees. His cynical best friend Axel Hammond is a theater critic played by Beau Stoker. Willum’s love interest is weathergirl Tansy McGinnis played by Bianca Stoker. Willum’s friends plan a birthday party for him and an unexpected long lost buddy from the war attends. He’s Rick Steadman, “the nerd” played by Jericho McWilliams. He saved Willum’s life in ’Nam, but the two never met. He’s a socially awkward house guest that just won’t leave. Other party guests include hotel owner Warnock Waldgrave played by Dave Jessup; his high-strung wife Clelia, played by Shelly Sheckler, and their terror of a son, Thor, played by Trevor Carpenter.
“The Nerd” will perform Saturday evenings at 7 p. m. and Sunday afternoons at 2:30 from June 25 through July 17. St. Joseph’s Church is located at 56312 Church St. in Yucca Valley.
