The St. Joseph’s Players of Yucca Valley are cooking up a Greek- themed dinner this Sunday night, April 19, to help produce their upcoming production of Neil Simon’s “Biloxi Blues.” Director and reporter Rebecca Havely shares what’s on the menu…
The cast and crew of the upcoming comedy “Biloxi Blues” is cooking up a Greek feast. The entrée is spanikapita, a Greek spinach pie baked with cheese in flaky pastry dough. Tomato side salads will be served with, peppers, Greek olives and feta cheese plus veggies with Greek yogurt dip. After dinner stay for coffee and the traditional Greek dessert, baklava. There will be great raffle prizes to win, tickets are $1 each or 6 for $5, plus silent auction items up for bid. Raffle and auction winners will be announced at 7 p.m.; you do not need to be present to win. Dinner will be served from 5:30 p.m. till 7 p.m. Sunday night, April 19. Come have a great meal and meet the cast while supporting local community theatre.
Dinner tickets are $8 each, $14 for couples and $25 for families of four. No reservations needed; cash only please.
