SQUATTERS ARRESTED AND BURGLARIES REPORTED IN WONDER VALLEY

Two Twentynine Palms residents were arrested Saturday, after they were found inside someone else’s home in Wonder Valley. About 7:15 p.m., deputies were called to the 3700 block of Meriweather Road in Wonder Valley when the homeowner found two strangers, later identified as Macy Peterson, 44, and Mark Vogt, 50, living inside his home. The deputy determined that two vehicles parked outside the home belonged to Peterson and Vogt, and the homeowner identified property inside the cars as belonging to him. The deputy found suspected drugs, paraphernalia, and a large amount of cash inside Vogt’s vehicle and Peterson’s purse. Macy Peterson was arrested for investigation of conspiracy and burglary, booked at the Morongo Basin Jail, with her bail set at $25,000. Mark Vogt was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy, burglary, possession of methamphetamine for sales, and on a no-bail warrant. He was booked into the Morongo Basin Jail.

Two other burglaries were reported in Wonder Valley Saturday morning. A resident in the 4200 block of Normglo Road said that sometime between November 1 and April 6, someone had broken into his home and stole numerous items in the house, as well as a Jeep and trailer parked outside. A resident in the 82100 block of Carey Road in Wonder Valley called deputies about 8:30 Saturday to report that a 50-inch television and a custom guitar had been stolen from the home.
