Mil-Tree, a local non-profit who says their mission is to “Bring veterans, active duty and civilians together through arts and dialogue to help transform the wounds of war,” is hosting square dancing and barbecue under the stars as a fund-raiser. The event is this Saturday, August 4, outside at the Desert Lily Bed and Breakfast at 8523 Star Lane in Joshua Tree. The doors open at 6:30 p.m. Square dancing will be led and taught by the Yucca Valley Star Twirlers beginning at 7:30, then enjoy barbecue ribs and the fixings with a no-host bar. The cost is $25.
