The Morongo Unified School District is offering speech screening for preschool children, aged 3 to 5 years old. Speech screenings may be helpful if your child has a speech delay; is hard to understand; communicates using gestures only; or your child uses only two to three words in a sentence. Appointments are available with a speech therapist between 9 and noon on Tuesday, August 18, at the Morongo Unified School District office in Twentynine Palms, or on Wednesday, August 19, at Friendly Hills Elementary School in Joshua Tree.
