The Mystery of Edwin Drood” cast is clad with exceptional costumes by award-winning master costumer Kathryn Ferguson. She’s become renowned for her late 19-century construction. Recognized by the Desert Theatre League in 2014, she won the Star Award for “Best Costume Designer” for “The Importance of Being Earnest.” “The Mystery of Edwin Drood” is a who-done-it musical that takes place in a music hall in Victorian-era England. Unlike the aristocrats she dressed in “Earnest,” and this season’s “An Ideal Husband,” (both grand masterpieces), the current cast of characters are working class actors of the era. Plus all the actors in the musical play more than one character. Her biggest challenge for this show was designing and constructing costumes for the twins from the Orient. But in the end, the results are stunning. See for yourself and help solve the mystery of the murder of Edwin Drood.
