The Morongo Unified School District Board of Education is having a special meeting on June 23, beginning at 5:30 p.m. The meeting opens with a public workshop/study session on the 2015-2016 proposed budget. That will be followed by a closed session on personnel issues, simply notated as being about Twentynine Palms Junior High School and Onaga Elementary School principals. Onaga Elementary principal Kyle Hannah, who was the beneficiary in 2013 of a protest against his transfer within the District, is leaving the District for a post elsewhere. The meeting takes place at Joshua Tree Elementary School.
