Theatre 29 premiered their virtual presentation last night (April 2) of “Songs for a New World,” a modern song cycle by composer Jason Robert Brown. Director Scott Clinkscales has assembled a veteran ensemble of award-winning performers to bring this production to life. Since in-person performances are still prohibited, this production was filmed at Theatre 29 and is available for theatregoers to view from the comfort of their own home. Clinkscales says, “This is the one show this year you absolutely cannot miss.”
“Songs for a New World” will stream online weekends April 2 through April 25—Friday and Saturday nights at 7 p.m., Sunday matinees at 2:30 p.m. For tickets, visit theatre29.org.
