On Friday’s Z1077 Up Close Show, host Gary Daigneault spoke with Chair of the County Board of Supervisors Dawn Rowe about the long-term rental housing market. Daigneault suggested that because the housing market is so saturated with short term vacation rentals, an amount of self-correction is happening, and many houses that were once listed as short-term rentals are being put back up for sale or being listed as long-term rentals.
Rowe said, “It appears that is the market correction that is happening right now. We still see increased uses of vacation home rentals in our mountain areas, for sure in our desert areas, but its reducing all over. I hear that from my friends who are realtors, people who have bought homes as speculators that they are marketing them for sale.”
