A meeting has been set up between developers of a solar project in Landers and community residents. Reporter Dan Stork describes how it came about and when and where it will be…

In the wake of the December 4 approval by the San Bernardino County Planning Commission of a permit for a solar project in Landers, an effort began to appeal that decision. According to Landers resident Moira Fain, the day after she talked to County officials about the appeal process, she was contacted by a representative from S Power, the project developer. He said that they want to avoid an appeal process and proposed an informal meeting to “clear things up.” It’s set for tomorrow, Saturday, December 13 at noon in Belfield Hall, 58380 Reche Road in Landers.
Fain said there still would be time to set up an appeal—barely. The deadline for filing an appeal is Monday, December 15 at 5 pm, with a filing fee of $1192.
