You are invited to see the solar car challenge! Fourteen High School teams will be racing their solar cars from the Texas Motor Speedway to the California Science Center in Los Angeles. They will be making a stop at Luckie Park in Twentynine Palms on Monday, July 29, from 4 to 8 p.m. The solar car challenge is the top STEM education program designed to help motivate students in science, engineering, and alternative energy. The public is invited to welcome these students and volunteers as they take a break and cool down. The solar cars will be on display and the students will be there to answer any questions. The Z107.7 radio station will be doing a live broadcast throughout the day, keeping you entertained. The racers will leave on July 30th at 9 a.m. to finish their final leg of the race.
