SOFTBALL TOURNAMENT TO BENEFIT JAIME MCQUEEN-PRICE

A “Strike-Out Cancer” Charity Softball Tournament set for this Friday and Saturday at the Yucca Valley Community Center, is a fundraiser for a Joshua Tree woman, Jaime Queen-Price, who was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma in March. While all the team slots for the tournament have been filled, organizers are asking for donations for raffles at the tournament. T-shirts and bracelets will also be for sale at the tournament, and a donation box will be available for anyone who wants to drop off a check. Raffle winners do not need to be present to win. All proceeds from the raffles, donations, and merchandise sales will go to Jaime Queen-Price to help with her medical bills. If you can’t make it to the tournament, which will start about 5:30 Friday evening and run all day Saturday, you can make a donation online at a link in this story at kcdzfm.com. For more information, call Audra Elias at 760-468-3047.
