SMOKE AT MORONGO VALLEY SCHOOL

Fire fighters were called to a structure fire early Friday morning that turned out to be a false alarm. About 6:30 Friday morning, fire departments from Morongo Valley, Yucca Valley, Joshua Tree, and Desert Hot Springs responded to Morongo Valley Elementary School. The school had a light smell of smoke and of burning electrical wires, but firefighters were unable to find any source of fire. The school’s maintenance department will follow-up to determine the source of the smoke and burning wires.
