Yucca Valley firefighters responded to a small vegetation fire northwest of Paradise Park early this morning that is “suspicious in origin.” About 3 a.m., a fire, less than a quarter acre in size, was burning trash, weeds, and grass about a couple hundred yards off the road near Balsa and Paxton Avenues. Fire Captain Jay Dimoff said there was no reason for the fire to be burning in that area, and the cause is under investigation.
