Beginning Thursday, April 30 at all testing locations and at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center, people age 65 and older and health care or public safety workers can get tested, regardless if they are experiencing any symptoms. This is in addition to residents who are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms (fever, cough or shortness of breath).
An additional 21 novel coronavirus cases have been confirmed in San Bernardino County, but deaths remain at 82 for the third day in a row, public health officials reported Monday (April 27).
Cases rose to 1,772, a 1.2 percent increase Sunday, according to the county’s online dashboard. Of those who have caught the disease, 4.6 percent have died. The county has tested 17,577 people, of which 10.1 percent were positive for COVID-19, the disease caused by the coronavirus. In the Morongo Basin, the number of confirmed cases remains the same at 35 with Joshua Tree showing 14 cases and the only two deaths locally: Yucca Valley has 11; Twentynine Palms has five; Morongo Valley has four; and Landers with one.
