Yucca Mesa and Yucca Valley firefighters were called to a structure fire late last night. Right at midnight, the residents in the 3000 block of Hilton Avenue, north of Aberdeen Avenue, called to report flames in the small home’s attic. Firefighters had to pull down the ceiling and open up the roof to fight the blaze, but managed to contain the fire to the attic. The cause is under investigation.
