SMALL GREASE FIRE AT YUCCA VALLEY MCDONALDS

A grease fire briefly closed down the Yucca Valley McDonald’s Tuesday afternoon. About 12:30 Tuesday, workers at the fast-food restaurant put out a grease fire in the deep fryer with a dry chemical powder fire extinguisher, before fire fighters even arrived at the restaurant. State regulations require the restaurant shut down until it’s cleared by the California Department of Public Health Environmental Health. By 3:30, the restaurant was back up and running again.
