SMALL FIRE PUT OUT QUICKLY IN JOSHUA TREE MONDAY AFTERNOON

Firefighters made quick work of a fire in the 6500 block of Sunset in Joshua Tree Monday afternoon. County Battalion Chief Scott Tuttle said debris stacked up outside the home caught fire about 2 p.m. Firefighters put out the flames within a minute. The home itself did not burn, although there was some smoke damage inside. Tuttle said the cause is believed to have been electrical.
