SMALL FIRE IN YUCCA VALLEY SATURDAY

Joshua Tree firefighters assisted firefighters from the Bureau of Land Management with a small vegetation fire Saturday morning. County Fire Battalion Chief Scott Tuttle said the BLM firefighters from the Black Rock station were driving by and spotted the small fire in the 58300 block of Carlyle Drive in Yucca Valley about 10:20 a.m. and called for assistance. No structures were threatened by the flames, and the cause is still under investigation.
