SMALL CAR FIRE IN MORONGO VALLEY SUNDAY

Morongo Valley firefighters put out a small car fire Sunday evening. Fire Engineer Mark Murphy said a Chevy Impala’s engine caught fire about 5:45 p.m. as the motorist was traveling eastbound on Highway 62 at Livingston Drive. Murphy said the fire was contained to the engine compartment, and the fire was out within minutes; there were no injuries.
