Sky’s The Limit Observatory and Nature Center invites stargazers to experience the desert night sky tomorrow. Reporter Andrew Dieleman shares the cosmic details…
Sky’s The Limit Observatory and Nature Center will host a night of stargazing on Saturday, January 5. This free public event will start at around 6 p.m. and last about two hours. Highlights of the night sky include Mars, Saturn, and the Orion Nebula, one of the most beautiful deep sky sights during Winter. Prominent constellations will include Taurus, Orion, Canis Major, Gemini, and Auriga. The star party is free and open to the public, but space is limited. Sky’s the Limit is located at 9697 Utah Trail in Twentynine Palms, just outside the north entrance to Joshua Tree National Park. For more information, call Ray Yeager at 760-365-7897.
