This Saturday and next brings some celestial fun at Sky’s the Limit Observatory and Nature Center in Twentynine Palms. Reporter Taylor Thacker invites you to the “evenings with the cosmos”….
Saturday’s May 24 and 31 promise excellent viewing of constellations, galaxies and quasars at Sky’s the Limit Observatory and Nature Center. These evenings with the cosmos are free and open to the public, beginning around 7:45 pm and continuing until 2:00 am. Guests are encouraged to bring their own binoculars and telescopes. Pads are provided for telescope setup, and STL volunteers will assist as needed in setting up and using equipment. Everyone should bring snacks, water bottles, chairs, and a small flashlight and dress for unpredictable desert weather. The Sky’s the Limit Observatory and Nature Center is located just north of the entrance to the Joshua Tree National Park at 9697 Utah Trail in Twentynine Palms. For more information call 760-367-7222.
